The Fort Myers and Naples COMA Networking Club Chapters held their annual Holiday Party on December 4^th, 2009 at Hemmingway’s Restaurant at Coconut Point in Estero.

All of the Board members and a guest enjoyed a delightful dinner and got caught up on the year’s news since many of them only get to see each other once a year. 

This year, President Bobbie Golfes from the Fort Myers Chapter and Carolyn Coffeen, President of the Naples Chapter turned the tables on Bill Carter.  Every year COMA Founder Bill Carter calls numerous members up in front of the membership to receive their award for their contribution to COMA’s success over the year. This year they called Bill Carter to the stage in front of the joint Board of Directors to honor him as each director had the chance to tell Bill how they felt about COMA and what it had meant to them over the years.  Bill was presented with a beautiful plaque and a gift card.

Bill has dedicated numerous hours both out front and behind the scenes to make COMA the success it has been over the past sixteen years.  Yes, the many volunteers have also played their part, but every successful group has to have a leader that steers the ship.  It is because of Bill and COMA that many Managers and Associates have been successful in their careers.  COMA has brought together numerous people from all over Lee and Collier County and merged them into a well run networking club that is not only beneficial in the realm of Community Management but has also been fun.  Many of us who belong to COMA have made lasting friendships along the way and Bill Carter and COMA have to be thanked for making it possible.
